During this month we will begin Unit 2:  Native Americans.  In this unit we will cover geography, climate, migration, different Native American groups in the US.  We will have a special area of emphasis on the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) and the local ties.  We will have a map quiz as part of this unit as well as a major project. 

For this project students will research a Native American group, construct a dwelling that they lived in, and present this to the class.  We will work on the research in class and students will construct the dwellings at home.
