  • Senior Portraits for Yearbook

    Senior portraits will be taken when the 12th graders are scheduled on picture days.  This is Nov. 17 for the red cohort and Nov. 20 for the gold cohort.  Seniors on remote learning may come in on Wednesday, Nov. 18 to have their portrait taken. Seniors should dress appropriately since this is the picture that is to appear in the yearbook and must comply with the dress requirements to be acceptable (no t-shirts, tank tops, etc.)  Also please be advised that the formal wear provided by the studio in the past will not be available. Pictures taken by outside studios may be submitted after Thanksgiving to:  hsyearbook@oleanschools.org

  • Huskie Wi-Fi Zone

    The Huskie W-Fi zone in th OHS Gym is now open.  If you wish to come in to school to use the Wi-Fi on your remote learning days, please complete this form to reserve your space.  A limited number of students can use this space at a time.  Please click here to complete the sign-up form.

Dignity for All Students Act

  • Olean City School District is committed to providing a safe, supportive environment, free from harassment, bullying, and discrimination for all its students. The District encourages the involvement of staff, students, parents, and community members in the implementation and reinforcement of the Dignity for All Students Act ("DASA").
     
    If you believe you, or someone else, has been the target of harassment, bullying, cyber-bullying, and/or discrimination, please use this form to report all allegations. 
     
    School/district personnel witnessing an incident or receiving a report of an incident must complete and submit this written report within two (2) school days.  NOTE: School/district personnel must also orally notify the principal, superintendent or their designee no later than one school day after witnessing or receiving a report of an incident.
     
    All complaints will be treated in a confidential manner.  Anonymous reports may limit the district's ability to respond to the complaint.  A prompt and through investigation will be conducted for all incident reports.
     
    If you wish to report an incident or a series of incidents , please complete this form, by clicking on this text, to submit it to the appropriate DASA coordinator.  Otherwise, you may report this to the Dignity Act coordinator in your building as soon as possible so the district can investigate and take the appropriate steps to resolve the incident.  High School: Mr. Andreano or Mr. Martel, OIMS grades 6-7: Mr. Trietley, OIMS grades 4-5: Mr. Whitcher, East View: Mr. Crawford, and Washington West: Ms. Stuff.

  • Dear Huskies:

    First we want to thank all of our families for your patience and hard work.  You have simply been wonderful and we appreciate all your cooperation and support as together we defeat Covid-19.

    As we prepare to enjoy the holiday season we want to remind all of our families to be safe.  If your family is planning on traveling outside the boundaries of New York State for the holidays, please follow the Governor’s guidelines posted at: https://coronavirus.health.ny.gov/covid-19-travel-advisory

    • A COVID test before leaving the state you visited.
    • A 3-day quarantine upon your child’s return.
    • A COVID test after the 3-day quarantine.
    • Results of both COVID tests being negative produced to the school.
    • Or a full 14-day quarantine.

    If you are expecting visitors from outside of New York State:

    • Travelersmust obtain a test within three days of departure, prior to arrival in New York.
    • The traveler must, upon arrival in New York, quarantine for three days.
    • On day 4 of their quarantine, the traveler must obtain another COVID
    • Or a full 14-day quarantine

    Remember, our number one goal is to keep everyone safe and healthy.

  • Universal Pre-K

    We are happy to confirm that our universal pre-kindergarten will be available for the upcoming school year in our district and Head Start classrooms. Students in our district universal pre-K classes at Eastview and Washington West may enroll in the red or gold hybrid model or in the 100% remote model. For students who have registered already, we will be contacting you to confirm your child’s class assignment and additional information. If you are interested in enrolling your child in pre-K at East View or Washington West please contact our central registrar, Mrs. Certo, at (716) 375-8998. We’re excited to have our youngest huskies join the pack!

  • Inspection and/or Request of Records
     
    District records are available for inspection at no cost to the public. Copies are available at the statutorily permitted duplication fee of $.25 per page by check or money order made payable to the Olean C. Requests for inspection must be in writing and addressed to the Records Access Officer via regular or electronic mail or facsimile. The Records Access Officer will acknowledge receipt and provide the requestor with the District staff person's name, title, and phone number to schedule an appointment at a mutually convenient date and time for inspection. Records or portions thereof which are prohibited from disclosure pursuant to FOIL will be redacted or omitted; the requestor will be notified of the reason(s) for the redaction(s) and of the procedures to appeal to the Commissioner of Education. Inspection of records are by appointment between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
