Mr. William Hughey

Mr. Hughey was born and raised in Niagra Falls, NY and has been participating in musical activities for most of his life. Mr. Hughey received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia in 2004. He is currently working towards his Master's Degree in Music Education from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas.
As well as teaching full time, Mr. Hughey is also a member of the Paul Deritter Jazz Duo and the Paul Deritter Jazz Quintet and plays local engagements frequently.
Mr. Hughey's hobbies include composing music and gardening. He especially enjoys growing rare and unique trees. One of his current projects is the growing and cultivation of American Chestnut hybrids, American Elm and Giant Sequoia Redwoods.
Mr. Hughey lives in Hinsdale with his wife, Colleen and his children Madeline and James.
Mrs. Leah Cornell

Mrs. Cornell began teaching at Olean CSD in 2019, but has been teaching music since 2013 in various other school districts in NY. She is primarily a vocalist, and has taught everything from Mommy and Me music classes for babies and toddlers, to senior high chorus, while directing both elementary and high school musicals. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Nazareth College and her Masters in Music Education from SUNY Buffalo. That’s where she met her husband, who is also a music teacher!
After experiencing all sorts of classes and age groups, Mrs. Cornell knows elementary music is her absolute favorite. She lives in Cuba with her husband, daughter Eliza, and their two dogs - Kiel and Stella.
