RegistrationWelcome to the Olean City School District Registration page.
In order to safe guard the health of your child/children in the most appropriate program, and to conform to New York State law and District policy, we need certain information and records. Please start by registering on-line and then submitting required documentation to the Central Registrar.

Provide Proof of Guardianship
The School District requires a parent/guardian to provide proper proof of relationship.

Baptismal Record
School ID with DOB
Military ID
Hospital/health records
Consulate ID Card
Court orders/court issued documents
Native American Tribal documents
Records from non-profit aid agenciesIf a student resides with someone other than a parent, the District requires submission of affidavits setting forth the circumstances under which the student resides. Both parent and person in parental relationship will need to complete a notarized affidavit. Registrar can provide notary services at no cost.
Other documentation indicating the child has been placed by a governmental agency will also be accepted. If you are unable to provide proof of parental relationship/guardianship, please speak with the Registrar concerning your unique circumstance at 716-375-8998 or email "registration", then add "@oleanschools.org".

Provide 3 Proofs of Residency in the City of Olean
Three pieces of address verification (dated in the last 8 weeks)
Acceptable verification:
Current telephone, utility or cable bills
Mortgage/County assessor information
Insurance documents
Documents from the City, County, State, or Federal agencies
Lease agreements including first page and signature page
NYS Drivers License
State or Government ID
Voters Registration Card
Landlord Affidavit
Stamped Change of Address Card

Families experiencing homelessness do not have to provide address certification documents.
PLEASE BE ADVISED that in order for your child/children to attend the Olean City School District, you must be a resident of the City of Olean. Section 210.45 of the Penal Law (the Stale of New York prohibits the making of a false written statement. Therefore, your statements contained in your registration application must be true and accurate. If the School District determines at any time that you are not a resident of the School District, your child/children will be excluded from the School District. Further, you will be liable to the School District for payment of tuition from their date of enrollment through their date of exclusion, as well as hours of collection.
