2021-22 Program Information and Pre-Registration:
Our Pre-K Program is now beginning pre-registration for families wishing to enroll students for the 2021-22 school year in anticipation of continued funding for the Universal Pre-K program. Please complete this registration form and submit it to the district by April 1, 2021. Registrations received after that date will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. Additional information will be posted as it becomes available.
UPK – Universal Pre-Kindergarten
Olean City School District provides a full day pre-kindergarten program at no cost to district families. UPK classes are available at East View Elementary, Washington West Elementary, and the Olean Head Start Center.
Who is eligible?
Any child who resides in District and is four years old on or before December 1st of that school year.
Will my child be enrolled in the program upon receipt of my application?
No. Since the program is grant funded there are a limited number of children that can be enrolled.
If there are more eligible children in a given year that openings in the program, a lottery will be held.
When will I receive notifications that my child was accepted?
Letters of notification will be mailed.
District requirements for registration
- Birth certificate
- Physician’s verified proof of immunization
- Proof of residence
- Proof of guardianship
Can I select the building my child will attend?
School selection is based on neighborhood districting and not guaranteed depending on space availability.
Transportation is not provided for this program.
