   Greetings to all my new students and parents. I hope everyone has had a wonderful and enjoyable summer. With the school year upon us, I would like to take this opportunity to go over some important information. First, the students will be coming home with paperwork that must be signed and returned as soon as possible. This paperwork will consist of emergency contact information and free and reduced lunch information.

   Secondly, 4th grade is a very important year. There are three state assessments that the students will be given. The first is the ELA assessment, and it will be given in January. Math and science will be given in March and May. Given the importance of this year please take every opportunity to stay in tune with what your child is working on in school. Please also check your students' agenda everyday to find out what homework is due and when we will be having test. This will be the responsibility of both the student and the parent to ensure successful completion of 4th grade.
