2022-2023 Updates
Posted by Jennifer Mahar on 8/10/2022The Olean City School District is identified as a Target District for the 2022-2023 school year. Each school in the district is designated as a school in Good Standing. The District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) has been developed with a committee of parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to focus on three priorities to support student achievement. This plan was approved by the Board of Education on 8/9/2022 and can be viewed on the Improvement Plan page. Thank you to the school and district teams and parents for this work.

Each school in the district is designated as a school in Good Standing. The District Comprehensive Improvement Plan (DCIP) has been developed with a committee of parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators to focus on three priorities to support student achievement. Each school in the district is designated as a school in Good Standing. 2017-18 Updates

The Olean Intermediate-Middle School continues to have a Local Assistance Plan designation. This plan was approved by the Board of Education on 8/24/17 and can be viewed on the Improvement Plan page. Thank you to the school and district teams for their work throughout the year on school improvement efforts, including the Building Level Team, the CDEP/Shared Decision Making Team, and the LAP Planning Committee, as well as all of those involved in grade level and department teams and the ELA and math committees. -
2016-17 Updates
Posted by Jennifer Mahar on 7/28/2016We are pleased to announce that the Olean City School District is no longer designated as a Focus District for the 2016-17 school year. With the most recent accountability status updates, the Olean Intermediate-Middle School has transitioned from a Focus School to a Local Assistance Plan designation. East View Elementary will continue to have the Local Assistance Plan designation for the upcoming year.We would like to thank the Building Level Teams from each building, the CDEP/Shared Decision Making Team, and the DCIP-SCEP Planning Committee for their participation in the process of developing these plans.The 2016-17 Local Assistance Plans for each building can be found on the Improvement Plan page. -

Evidence Collection
Posted by Jennifer Mahar on 1/9/2013 12:30:00 PMTeachers and administrators have begun to learn about the Diagnostic Tool rubrics connected with the Focus District Review process. These rubrics, which can be found here, will be used in a self-assessment of the Olean Intermediate-Middle School and the Olean City School District as part of the Focus School and Focus District review process.During sessions with teachers and administrators, small groups have been discussing the rubric language and identifying school and district practices, resources, supports, and special programs to complete the rubric review. This work will continue as the self-assessments are prepared and documentation gathered for the review process.Do you have evidence to submit?
